Heyo,
Alright, I ended 2022 incredibly busy. I was all over the place. I started with structure in 2022 but ended without it.
Sickness. Kids not sleeping well. Whatever. You name it.
What does this lead to?
Lots of stress and switching of tasks. Lost time.
Here is what I'm doing now.
For me, stress is a function of not taking action when I could take action. I've been delaying what I know I should do or needs to do.
Break Problems down into digestible actions. Super simple actions. James Clear is well-known for taking a habit and changing it to "just show up to the gym in workout clothes, stay for 5 minutes and then leave".
The second piece I'm doing now...
Tackling the most important task of the day FIRST. First thing. Don't check anything else UNTIL that is done.
Ha! This is not new. This is not a genius move. This is so simple yet rarely does someone do it.
--> Trick - You need to determine what the most important thing is the day before or this trick doesn't work. Mark Twain once said, “Eat a live frog first thing in the morning and nothing worse will happen to you the rest of the day.”
How do you eat an Elephant?
One bite at a time. Same with your acquisitions. One bite at a time. Now, I better go eat something ASAP.
